Job Description
- Lead the mine site’s accounting and financial reporting functions as well as the mine site procurement activities;
- General accounting oversight, cost accounting and budgetary controls and analytics;
- Oversee the warehouse staff and its activities; including cycle counting and accuracy of inventory;
- Responsible for all FP&A activities, including budgeting and forecasting all financials, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements and headcount/expense management;
- Responsible for oversight of long-term contracts for commodities/consumables;
- Maintain Capital Project spend and capitalization of fixed assets;
- Ensure a timely month, quarter, and year end closing;
- Assist with internal and external audit and implementation of corrective actions from audit results;
- Report and analyze actual financial results against the budget/forecast;
- Perform Ad Hoc reports for site and corporate requesters;
- Production of financial statements, compliance reports and other regulatory filings on a timely basis;
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies as well as site established policies and procedures;
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives with operating departments;
- Ensuring good lines of communication with site managers and corporate office with potential problems identified and communicated on a timely basis;
- Work collaboratively with all departments and maintain security of confidential information;
- Identify areas for improvement and maintain metrics on continuous improvement project work;
- Assist in implementation of integrated financial systems;
Compensation
Salary Range $95,000 - $120,000 annually 401K Retirement Plan Medical, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurances Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Time OffJob Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field and 5 years of work experience in field required;
- Preferred 5 years’ experience as a financial leader (public company experience preferred);
- Expert in Excel and in Quickbooks;
- Experience in project management, agile/lean practices and FP&A;
- Knowledgeable in IFRS accounting regulations and best practices;
- Ability to work in the US;
- Skill in written and verbal communication (in English), critical thinking, data analysis;
- Strong knowledge and computer experience specifically in using Office Suite One note, Teams;
