General Laborer – Concrete Operations

Job Description

Position Summary

Stone Valley is seeking a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to join our team. This is a hands-on position involving precast concrete production, monument engraving and installation, cemetery repairs, and burial services. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is willing to learn a variety of skilled tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the production of precast concrete products.
• Install monuments, memorials, and cemetery markers.
• Perform cemetery repairs and restoration work.
• Assist with grave preparation and burial services.
• Assist with monument cleaning, lettering preparation and sandblasting operations as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Compensation

Starting wage: $18.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills. Candidates with a valid Class A or Class B CDL may be eligible for a higher wage; compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Reliable transportation to and from our Heuvelton location.
• Valid New York State driver’s license 
• Construction, landscaping, concrete, or cemetery experience is helpful but not required
• Preferred Qualifications include experience with sandblasting, equipment operation, concrete work, Class A or Class B CDL Driver License

• Demonstrate respect and professionalism while working in cemeteries and around families during burial services.
• Be safety-conscious and attentive to detail.
