Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of mobile underground equipment including; diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, high pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, microprocessor controls, electro-mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, 12/24v electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires and wheels;
  • Perform PMs including scheduled hour services, changing fluids, filters, inspections and other component checks;
  • Perform welding and fabrication duties (frame repairs, brackets, body work, etc.);
  • Completes required maintenance reports and logs;

Compensation

Competitive Pay $30-36/hour contingent on experience and skills, plus overtime & holiday rates. 401K Retirement Plan including additional employer contribution of 5% of gross wages weekly. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years heavy duty earth moving equipment maintenance;
  • 2-3 years of underground mining maintenance experience preferred;
  • Diesel technician preferred;
  • Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of tasks;
  • Willing to relocate to area to work 5 on, 2 off work week;
  • Ability to work in the US.
