We are looking for qualified Journeyperson Electricians for plant maintenance. This position works a 12-hour Dupont shift schedule (work only 14 days with one full week off per month). This role will take on the daily tasks of trouble shooting electrical issues around the mill using electrical test equipment, assisting the operations and mechanical maintenance departments with their day-to-day tasks, and operating the steam plant. Successful candidates will join the United Steel Workers Union Local 0687.

Job Requirements

  1. Have a good working knowledge of the tasks required to perform on all phases of electrical work in accordance with the latest edition of the American Electricians’ Handbook, Local and National Electrical Codes.
  2. Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
  3. Troubleshoot, assemble, install, test and maintain electrical, equipment components, and circuits.
  4. Must have knowledge of instrumentation and process controls
  5. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
  6. Must be able to install, calibrate & tune variable speed drives
  7. Must have knowledge of AC and DC power circuits
  8. Must be able to install conduit, duct, and control power.
  9. Must be able to read blueprints, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  10. Related PLC experience to understand, and troubleshoot ladder logic desired
  11. Ability to make minor mechanical, piping and electrical repairs
  12. Perform business management duties such as maintaining maintenance records and files, preparing reports, ordering supplies and equipment.
  13. Must follow all plant safety procedures, and all applicable regulatory policies .
