Job Description
Role Purpose
Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with a continuous or periodic system of operations or activities in the production of manufactured products. Use the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to provide technical support for manufacturing processes. Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Production Support
- Assist with assembly and handling of optical components, including preparation, alignment, and inspection.
- Support equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance for production operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all manufacturing activities.
- Process & Documentation
- Maintain accurate documentation for processes, including SOPs, training materials, and production records.
- Participate in audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Track production schedules and contribute to planning activities.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor product quality and report issues; assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support implementation of engineering changes and new technologies.
- Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project goals.
- Assist in training operators on new or updated procedures.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in special projects and developmental programs as assigned.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and take on new tasks as business needs change.

Compensation
The range for this position is $58,207.00 - $80,035.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. Experiences/Education – Required
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent manufacturing experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic proficiency with PC tools (Word, Excel, Email).
- Commitment to safety, quality, and learning new technologies.
