Vanderbilt Minerals LLC-Gouverneur Mineral Division

The successful candidate will be able to inspect, repair, install, and wire all electrical apparatus, devices and circuits of any voltage in the plant/mine or assigned area including power transmission lines, transformers and related equipment.  Candidate shall be able to dismantle, inspect, repair, adjust or replace faulty parts and wiring on motors, generators, power distribution and control panels, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic devices, etc. Reassemble, test and adjust equipment for safe and proper operation.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

May have to work some overtime and respond to call-ins.

 

Compensation

$30.96/hour

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. New York State Journeyman card in applicable trade is preferred. In lieu of certification, we will consider individuals who have partially completed the apprenticeship program or who have at least 2 years of industrial electrical experience.

An AA degree in electrical engineering technology is a plus.
