SNAP-Ed Lead Nutritionist – Program Manager

Job Description

This position is a full-time, exempt position – 100% FTE.

This position will serve as the Lead Nutritionist for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of St. Lawrence County.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function as part of the North Country Regional SNAP-Ed Team
  • Provide leadership in the planning, development, management, and implementation of the SNAP-Ed direct education workshops and program delivery, including curriculum management.
  • Provide direction, organization, coordination, and management of assigned aspects of the SNAP-ED Program:
    • Professional development opportunities for staff
    • Evaluation and program quality assurance
    • Policy, systems, and environmental change initiatives
    • Social media and digital learning outreach efforts
    • Communications with key community partners, stakeholders and policy makers

This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and personal leave.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is $58,500 to $59,000.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the preferred fields of Nutrition, Health Education, Dietetics, Public Health, Community and Behavioral Health, or Nursing. This includes persons certified as RD, RDN, CCN, CNS, and RN as well as other individuals with coursework in nutrition and/or health education with training and experience to communicate nutrition and obesity prevention topics.
  • Experience relevant to the role of the position.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
  • Ability to meet acceptable background check standards (DMV and criminal background checks).
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
