Job Description

Brief Job Description: The duties of the assessor include, but are not limited to:

Responsible to determine real property values for approximately 5,300 parcels within the Town including the Villages of Potsdam and Norwood.

Compensation

Salary: Contingent on Experience $50K+ range.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: NYS certified (will consider those engaged in certification).

Must have excellent organizational and mathematical skills, Familiarity with RPSV4, experience and knowledge of all aspects of duties associated with the assessor position (data collection, annual roll preparation, maintenance of all property records, administrative and clerical functions, processing exemptions, work with Board of Assessment Review, Town Attorney, Governmental Departments and Outside Agencies, etc.)
