Steam Plant Operator

Job Description

Potsdam Specialty Paper has as an opening for a Steam Plant Operator in Potsdam, NY.

The position is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the steam boilers, mill water supply and steam condensate system. Job duties include but are not limited to monitoring boiler controls, maintaining records in plant operations, performing chemical testing of boiler make-up water and condensate, generating reports.

Compensation

 $24.01 to $28.08 depending on relevant experience.

Job Requirements

Job Knowledge/Skills Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. MINIMUM two years experience with industrial boilers. Good math, problem solving and reading skills. Basic computer skills. Good communications skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge and ability to use measurements.
