Transportation Outreach Coordinator (Canton)
Position Summary
The Transportation Outreach Coordinator serves as a key public-facing representative of the Mobility Management program. This position supports the Director of Mobility Management by identifying, coordinating, and participating in community outreach opportunities and by educating the public on available transportation services. The Coordinator plays an essential role in increasing awareness, access, and effective use of public transit within the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent the Mobility Management program at community events, meetings, and outreach activities, including tabling and presentations
- Train community members on how to use the bus system and other available transportation options
- Respond to transportation-related inquiries and connect individuals to appropriate services and programs
- Identify and troubleshoot transportation barriers and provide problem-solving assistance
- Maintain strong knowledge of public transit routes, transportation options, and rider support services
- Serve as a positive and professional liaison between the agency, transit providers, and the community
- Pursue revenue generating partnerships with community organizations and businesses (e.g., bus wrap advertising contracts)
- Perform related duties as assigned

Compensation
Pay: $20 per hour, Hours Per Week: 40 hours, Location: Canton, New York officeJob Requirements

- Must have clean driver’s license and pass a background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Work Schedule and Physical Requirements
- Some early morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required
- Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds as part of outreach activities
