Production Technician

Job Description

Job Duties: You will be trained to operate production equipment in a glass bead manufacturing plant following high safety, quality, and environmental standards of Potters.  As part of the job, you will operate mobile equipment including forklifts, and front-end loaders.  You will be trained to perform in-process quality checks and recognize when equipment adjustments are required.  Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.   You will be expected to participate in safety programs and other employee driven projects which is part of the Potters continuous improvement philosophy.

Hours: The position opening we are currently seeking to fill is a full-time Production Operator at our Potsdam Plant.

Must be willing to work any shifts/hours and overtime, holidays and weekends. 

Compensation

$26.42/per hour and includes Comprehensive Benefits including Health Care. Potters is an EOE Employer.

Job Requirements

Desired Experience: An ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent.  A technical/trade school education preferred.  Computer literacy to include email use and quality check data entry.  One plus years of experience working with various industrial equipment.  One plus years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.  Attention to detail and familiarity with various industrial equipment.  Experience working in a manufacturing environment.  Demonstrated safe operation of mobile equipment.
