Job Description

Potsdam Specialty Paper, Inc., Potsdam, NY is looking for an Environmental/Quality Manager:

Manage all environmental control activities:

• Design, develop and implement methods and procedures to reduce or eliminate harmful effects of manufacturing and production functions on the environment.
• Solicit necessary information on raw materials and respond to customer product stewardship inquiries.
• Acquire environmental data and submit required reports to the Local, State and Federal government, and represent the organization before environmental regulatory agencies.Manage the organization’s Quality Management System.  Accountabilities include:
• Oversee operation of Wastewater and Raw Water.
• Accumulation, storage and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Perform the duties of the Emergency Management Coordinator, TSCA Coordinator, Radiation Safety Contact, Certified Pesticide Applicator, and ELAP Quality Manager.

Compensation

Salary range: $74,100 - $86,000 DOE. Competitive wage and benefits package: Medical/prescription, dental, life, vision, generous PTO and matching 401(k).

Job Requirements

BS degree in Engineering or related technical area. 2-3 years experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management or equivalent.  Background in Chemistry or Environmental Science is preferable.
