Forklift Operator

Job Description

Bestway of New York, Inc.–a wholesale lumber pressure-treater and building products distributor–is searching for a Forklift Operator for our facility in Gouverneur, NY. This position will be responsible for the safe operation of a diesel forklift as well as inventory control, and manual labor such as stacking lumber in an outdoor environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

Forklift Operators must safely operate a diesel lift with a two-stage mast.

Operators must perform daily inspections of their lift to ensure safe working order and document any problems.

Operators must learn the safe operation of additional heavy equipment as necessary.

Operators will also be required to regularly and repeatedly lift 50-70 pounds.

Operators responsible for correct counts of material and inventory and communicating these counts to office personnel.

Operators will be working outdoors in all seasons at a quick pace.

Compensation

From $17.00/hour

Job Requirements

• Forklift Operators: 1 year (Preferred)
• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
