Locksmith or Security Alarm Technician

Job Description

Barkley’s Safe and Lock is currently looking to fill a full-time position as either a Locksmith Technician or a Security Alarm Technician.

Locksmith:  This position will involve providing labor for locks, door hardware, closers, keys including vehicle keys, and other jobs as necessary.

Security Alarm:  This position will involve providing labor for installation and services of security and fire alarm systems, access control and video surveillance systems.

Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Barkley’s will provide a service vehicle as well as tools.

Compensation

Pay will depend on experience and the range of pay is $18.00 to $28.00/per hour. 

Job Requirements

Both Jobs:  Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel outside of St. Lawrence County, positive attitude, a willingness to learn, the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and must be able to work with Microsoft Office, along with some computer and networking skills.

Security Alarm:  A minimum of 3 years’ experience is recommended but not required.

Some over time is needed, traveling to work sites in the Franklin, St. Lawrence, and Jefferson County areas.  Work environments include residential and commercial, with extreme weather and temperature changes and some outdoor work.  There will be heavy lifting with ladders and products as well as working with your  arms over your head.

These positions require a lot of walking, working on ladders, kneeling, bending, and crawling.
