PROJECT MANAGER FOR A NYSERDA-FUNDED HOME ENERGY CAREER PATHWAYS PROGRAM

Clarkson University’s Institute for STEM Education is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER FOR A NYSERDA-FUNDED HOME ENERGY CAREER PATHWAYS PROGRAM through 2027.  Department website:  Institute for STEM Education | Clarkson University

The Program Manager will build and maintain partnerships and collaborate with firms that specialize in home energy auditing, weatherization, and heating system installation; co-develop a training curriculum; oversee program components, which include the recruitment and training of participants, record keeping and reporting, advising and counseling trainees as they make career decisions, and providing holistic support for trainees.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Weekly meetings with team members to set goals and monitor progress
• Maintaining NYSERDA deliverables that comply with the scope of work
• Overseeing and managing on-the-job training (OJT) of program participants
• Tracking progress of trainees and maintaining records of completion and placement
• Fostering relationships with business partners for internship, apprenticeship and job placement of trainees
• Collaborating with content experts and instructors on the development of micro-courses centered on home energy auditing, weatherization, and heating systems
• Generating reports on completion of NYSERDA deliverables

Compensation

The expected workload is between 20-40 hours per week with a pay rate between $25-$30/hour depending on experience.

Job Requirements

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree in a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in home energy auditing, weatherization, and/or heating system installation
• Familiarity with NYSERDA funded programs
• Ability to work collaboratively

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in project management
• Experience working with youths and/or young adults
• BPI certification

Applicants must have a knowledge of home weatherization services offered in St. Lawrence and adjoining counties.
