The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, (“SLCIDA”) is seeking proposals for Crack Filling, Asphalt Sealcoat and Line Striping at its facility located at 19 Commerce Lane within the Canton Industrial Park, Canton, New York 13617.

This Request for Proposal will cover a single occurrence to be during August or September 2020.  This pertains to all Blacktop on our property which is approximately 48,000SF.

Contractors are required to arrange a site visit to familiarize themselves with the site. Separate, sealed bids will be accepted by the Facilities Manager, until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020.  No bids will be accepted after this deadline.  Each bid envelope must be clearly marked in the lower left-hand corner or email Subject Line “RFP: 20-CIP-SealCoat-01″. The St. Lawrence County IDA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities if, in its opinion, such action is in the best interest of the Agency. The St. Lawrence River Valley Redevelopment Agency is scheduled to meet on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 5:00 PM via teleconference. The meeting will be accessible via live streem. The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development agency is accepting lawn care bids for properties owned by the Agency in Canton, Gouverneur and Massena. Proposals will be received until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. The office is not currently open to the public. If you are not able to submit the proposal(s) by fax, email or mail, please contact Rich Williams at 315-379-9806 by 4:00 PM EST on Monday, April 13, 2020 to discuss other options for receiving the proposal(s) prior to the deadline. All proposals must contain the proposal form and non-collusion form in order for the proposal(s) to be considered for the bidding process. The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency is scheduled to meet on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 9:00 AM at the Ernest J. LaBaff Industrial Building, 19 Commerce Lane, Suite 1, Canton, New York.

The Career Ready Education and Success Training (CREST) Center will be holding Class-A Tractor-Trailer driving training beginning January 7, 2020. This is a great local opportunity to learn the skills needed to pass the NYS Class A driving exam and start a career in this lucrative industry. This is a 7-week program, consisting of 20 hours of classroom sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and 30 hours of behind the wheel training scheduled by the student and instructor. Meetings of the St. Lawrence County IDA – Local Development Corporation, St. Lawrence County IDA – Civic Development Corporation and the St. Lawrence County Property Development Corporation will immediately follow.

The IDA, IDA-LDC, IDA-CDC and SLC PDC will each hold individual Governance Committee meetings beginning at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 25th at the Ernest J. LaBaff Industrial Building, Canton.
